On 17 and 18 May 2022 we from Solutioo were in Hamburg at the Online Marketing Rockstars Festival, an event for digital marketing and technology. There you met international superstars of the digital scene, hidden champions and local heroes of the industry. Speakers such as Quentin Tarantino, Ashton Kutcher, Sophia Thiel, Richard David Precht, Markus Lanz, Rezo, Paul Ripke and many more talked about their expert knowledge and their experience. Because the OMR Expo is also a party fair, there were live concerts every evening for almost every taste in music. Among them were Materia, singers such as Oli P., and the bands Kraftclub and Deichkind.
On the many stages there were masterclasses and talks on the digital world, technological progress, trends and marketing. Business people from every industry exchanged ideas about the many possibilities of digital marketing, tips and tricks, and developments. Of course you also met influencers who are interested in social media and marketing.
There were countless exhibitors as well, showing which digital-marketing trends are current and which solutions you can use to put them into practice. Among the exhibitors were names such as Adobe, Audi, Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, Microsoft, Twitch, Snapchat and others.
When we were at our first OMR Festival in 2013 (picture on the left), the fair was still at Große Freiheit 36 in Hamburg. Back then they estimated around 1,200 people, while this year (picture on the right) about 70,000 people were at the Hamburg exhibition grounds.
All in all, OMR22 was exciting and inspiring. We gathered a lot of impressions and ideas that we want to put to use for ourselves and our customers in the coming year. The sheer scale the festival has reached by now is genuinely overwhelming. So were the roughly 70,000 visitors, which felt a little unfamiliar after two years of coronavirus distancing. In the end, OMR offers a great deal of quality, and it does so in every area. We hope we can be there again next year. Until then! Your Solutioo team
